Hosting livestream playwriting workshops is a major event in the Bruntwood Prize calendar. We get to bring our extraordinary online audience of writers (yes you!) together with brilliant North West-based playwrights to share a 2-hour workshop with leading artists from across the theatre industry. These workshops live online forever as a free-to-access digital resource, and hopefully inform and encourage submissions in the closing weeks of our entry calendar!
Our 20th Anniversary Livestream season has been a deeply inspirational insight into playwriting in the present moment: exploring musicality, theatricality, research, formal experimentation & returning to your voice as you potentially head into the redrafting phase ahead of our submissions closing at 6pm GMT Monday 9th January 2025.
We are delighted and incredibly grateful to have experienced workshops from award-winning playwrights, directors and dramaturgs this season – thank you to the brilliant James Fritz, Beth Steel, Lolita Chakrabarti OBE, Daniel Bailey & Dan Rebellato.
With deepest thanks to Three Degrees West Productions for bringing these workshops to life!
