Create & Refine Workshops

CREATE fortnightly writing workshops are designed to stimulate, advance and enhance your writing skills, creative process and projects. If you’re looking to boost your creativity and connect with other writers online, or in-person over coffee and cake, CREATE is the perfect place to start.
The content of every workshop session is unique and designed to cater for the specific, immediate creative development needs of each person attending — which means you can attend regularly, sporadically, or just once (whatever suits your schedule and budget), and still benefit from strategies and support tailored to your unique creative goals — so why not give it a whirl?
Another uniquely flexible feature of our workshops is every booking can be banked and used as and when you want to. We know that the right input at the right moment is crucial to ensuring creative momentum and progress.
You can also switch between or combine CREATE and REFiNE workshops, depending on what is best for you at any given time — all sessions are flexible and will adapt to best serve each attending writer’s unique evolving needs and preferences.
If you can’t attend a workshop you’ve booked for, let us know up to 24hrs beforehand and you’ll be able to move your booking to the next available CREATE or REFiNE session, in-person or online (whatever works best for you) — ensuring you get the best possible return for your investment.
CREATE meets fortnightly both online — via ZOOM-call on Mondays 19:30-21:30 — and in-person — on Saturdays 10:30-12:30 at GiLMARTiN’S CAFÉ & BAKERY (in Stewarton, KA3 5AB). Booking is essential. Online workshops are via a Zoom-call and sessions cost £20 for 2 hours of interactive creative development (and £110 for a discounted bundle of 6 sessions). Each in-person session costs £25 for 2 hours and includes a tasty beverage and freshly baked treat of your choice.
REFiNE fortnightly writing workshops are designed to support writers with their projects-in-development. If you’d like expert input to help you advance and enhance your projects, help you navigate creative challenges, provide strategies that can help you unblock and unlock creative potential in yourself and your project(s), or simply a community of supportive writers to share your process with, then REFiNE is for you.
