ArtHouse Jersey invites artists from all disciplines to apply for a week-long immersive residency at Jersey’s historic Elizabeth Castle in St. Aubin’s Bay, surrounded by the sea twice a day. The Artist Lock-In is a professionally facilitated residency, designed to bring together twelve artists from diverse backgrounds and artistic disciplines to collaborate, experiment, and respond to their surroundings. Led by Sue Hill, Founding Artist of WildWorks, the residency encourages creative exploration across different mediums such as sculpture, film, theatre, and music.
From 9 to 16 March 2025, artists will stay at the refurbished castle with meals and materials provided. This residency is open to artists over 21 with a committed professional practice and who regularly present their work to an audience. It is an opportunity to focus solely on connection and creativity without the distractions of daily life.
Apply via the ArtHouse Jersey website. Deadline: 11 November 2024, 6pm.
