Join Talawa Theatre Company’s Artistic Director – and director of our upcoming production of KING LEAR – Michael Buffong as he discusses who, where and what inspiration is…
Inspiration can strike at any time. As theatre-makers, where do we turn for inspiration?
As part of Black History Month, the Royal Exchange Theatre and Talawa Theatre Company have teamed up with together to ask playwrights and theatre-makers: What inspires you?
Come along on Monday 19 October at 1pm and hear what Talawa’s past and future writers have to say. Our panel includes Talawa’s Artistic Director Michael Buffong, the Royal Exchange’s Associate Artistic Director Matthew Xia and our Playwright in Residence at Talawa David Judge (pictured below, far right). We’re pleased to announce that they will be joined by Inua Ellams, Afshan Lodhi, Chanje Kunda, Somalia Seaton, Firdos Ali and Theresa Ikoko (all pictured left to right, below).
We’ll be putting these artists centre stage to find out what the previous generation’s legacy is, for the next generation of British writing talent.
This celebratory event is FREE, but booking is essential. Book online or via the Box Office on 0161 833 9833.
